Wavelength has a new video

We have been working on putting a video clip together for some time now. With all of the weddings we do, Wavelength was in hopes of capturing bits of the band performing as well as some of our notorious dance crowds, however as luck would have it, we have not worked with many videographers during our wedding season so we've put together a short 2-minute video from our New Year's ball in Portland. In this video, Wavelength showcases a glimpse of the first four songs of the night to give potential clients a view of the band in action. We work with many out-of-state brides and grooms who are not able to view the band in Maine so we hope this helps you get a better feel for the band in this short clip. If you are looking for more videos from Wavelength, please visit our page on youtube by searching for TheWavelengthBand, contact us for more links or scroll down our blog for more information on videos. Click on this link below to be directed to the latest Youtube video of Wavelength and be sure to come back to our site. Enjoy!

More songs from live recording

Here's another sample of songs that Wavelength recorded live on New Year's Eve. Don't mind the popping sounds you hear. Some of these songs were recorded after the balloon drop at the stroke of midnight where hundreds of balloons fell to the dance floor among two hundred party goers. Sid Tripp's Black Cat Ball was a lot of fun! We enjoyed ringing in the new year with our fans, clients and many new friends. Enjoy the clips!

The Knot Best of Weddings 2011 Pick

Wavelength named top pick in The Knot Best of Weddings 2011 on theknot.com, the number-one wedding resource that's most trusted by brides.

The Knot Best of Weddings 2011 provides a “by brides, for brides” guide to the top wedding professionals across the country, and is a must-have when it comes to selecting the best-of-the-best wedding resources. From New York florists and Seattle bridal salons to DC makeup artists, engaged couples will find detailed feedback on local wedding businesses reviewed by thousands of newlyweds who had great things to say.

"My husband and I recently got married at On The Marsh in Kennebunk, ME this summer. In my whirlwind of wedding planning I asked my then fiance what he wanted most for our day - his answer "A really good live band." In my effort to find just that, I searched from Newport, RI, to Boston, MA, up to Bangor, ME and beyond. Most reviews came up short or just weren't quite what we were looking for until I found Wavelength. Wavelength showcased a great selection of classic songs, along with rock, blues and even some more recent hits. Lead vocalist Kathleen did a spot-on rendition of Etta James' At Last for our first dance and it was beautiful. And during dinner while the band was setting up, one of their gutarists played solo for our dinner hour - a wonderful bonus! The band has amazing vocals and great energy. They did a perfect job at reading the crowd all night long and playing accordingly. Manager Johnna Dionne was amazing to work with through all the planning and always so quick to respond with either email or phone call. In short I would HIGHLY recommend Wavelength to all newly engaged couples in the Maine, NH, & Massachusetts area!!" Kelly L.Boston, MA

Thanks to our wonderful clients for posting reviews. We are honored to have celebrated with so many amazing couples over the years and can't wait to kick off the 2011 season!

Review from Rachel and Matt

Rachel and Matt planned their Maine wedding from DC and what a wedding it was. Starting with beautiful Maine weather for their Labor Day weekend outdoor wedding in Southwest Harbor and ending with a fantastic dance party, it was truly a memorable day. Rachel shares a review of the band on Wedding Channel and The Knot: Have you ever seen an encore from a wedding band? Wavelength was one of our favorite vendors to work with for our wedding. Johnna is professional, organized and enjoyable throughout the process. Wavelength easily mastered our ceremony just as we imagined, perfectly accented our cocktail hour and then rocked it at our Barn/Dance party. Many of our guests sent US thank you notes for the wedding and specifically called out our awesome band. Thanks, Wavelength!!
